Drawing by Kristaps Pogulis dedicated to Latvia’s 100th anniversary to be printed on yellow e-tickets late this year
Voting for a new design for yellow e-tickets has ended on the website of "Rīgas satiksme" at www.rigassatiksme.lv, and a drawing by Kristaps Pogulis will be printed on yellow e-tickets at the end of this year. (See the picture).
The drawing of Kristaps Pogulis has received 667 votes, which is by 52 votes more than the drawing of Vitālijs Suvorovs, the holder of the second place. The visitors of the website voted 3307 times in total.
This year “Rīgas satiksme” welcomed 21 children from Riga sanatorium/boarding-school. At the beginning of their visit, they went on a guided tour of bus depot No. 7 to see how daily routine works are organised there. Then they made drawings dedicated to Latvia’s 100th anniversary under the guidance of artist Jānis Anmanis.
“Rīgas satiksme” thanks children and their teachers for the participation in this creative event. The winner of the contest, Kristaps Pogulis, will receive congratulations at the end of this year.
It is for the eight year that “Rīgas satiksme” held the traditional children’s drawing contest, during which little Rigans create design for the yellow e-ticket. In 2016, children from Children and Youth Basketball School „Riga” presented 15 drawings dedicated to the 70h anniversary of trolleybus traffic in Riga. The visitors of the website preferred the drawing made by Sabīne Škapare, whose drawing was printed on yellow e-tickets, which became available early in 2017.
